Stig Lindberg
A master of many varieties
Stig Lindberg (1916-1982) was one of Sweden's greatest an most popular designers. Services of his design are used in thousand's of homes. Most famous are the series Spisa Ribb, Berså and Terma.
Lindberg's design however stretched further than porcelain. He worked on a number of projects for Gustavsberg, designed televisions for Luma and even made illustrations for children's books.
To most people though, Lindberg is mostly known for his work during the golden age of the Swedish art industry ranging from the 1940's to the 1980's. Especially during the 1950's and the 1960's, Lindberg was one of the most prominent Swedish designers. Today, his work is highly coveted, and the price of even simple pieces of his design generate high prices.
